Melanotan II

Melanotan II is a synthetic cyclic analogue of alpha-MSH studied for melanin stimulation and libido-related research applications. It acts on both MC1R (pigmentation) and MC4R (sexual function) receptors, distinguishing it from Melanotan I.

⚠️ UV exposure is required for pigmentation effects. Melanotan II does not produce meaningful tanning without UV light exposure.

⚠️ Melanoma and mole safety warning: Melanocyte-stimulating peptides may cause existing moles, nevi, or atypical pigmented lesions to darken or change in appearance. Researchers with a personal or family history of melanoma, dysplastic nevi, or a high mole count should exercise extreme caution. Conduct a full skin assessment before and during any research protocol and discontinue immediately if any lesion changes are observed.
